UTA BELT REQUIREMENTS

The Unified Taekwondo Alliance does not incorporate stripes in its belt ranks. Below is the official Belt Ranking System of the UTA and a brief example of Minimal Basic Requirements for each grade up to black belt.

 
Yellow Belt
 
UTA Yellow Belt

 

 

Stances: Ready, Front, Horseback
Blocks: Low, High, Middle
Strikes: Middle Punch
Kicks: Front, Side, Roundhouse
Forms: Taegeuk Il Jang, Taegeuk Ee Jang
Self Defense: Techniques 1-4
One Step Sparring: Techniques 1-4
Sparring: 1 on 1, No Contact
Breaking: N/A
General Knowledge: To be advised
 
 

Green Belt

UTA Green Belt

All of the Above plus:

Stances: Back
Blocks: Knife Hand, Inside, X-Block
Strikes: Knife Hand, Reverse Punch, Hammer Fist, Backfist
Kicks: Front Snap, Inward Crescent, Outward Crescent, Turning Side, Turning Roundhouse, Back
Forms: Taegeuk Sam Jang, Taegeuk Sa Jang
Self Defense: Techniques 5-8
One Step Sparring: Techniques 5-8
Sparring: 1 on 1, 3 step combinations, No Contact
Breaking: One 1" Board w/ Front Kick, Two 1" Boards w/ Knife Hand
